After going to see "Return of the Planet of the Apes? (great movie), we decided to search for a new restaurant. We ended up at Blue Taj, which we actually ate at once before.
When we walked in, I see a bunch of empty tables. The "hostess" asks if we have a reservation. I said no. She doesn't say a word, stares at the computer for about 2 minutes, walks away and returns in a few minutes and quietly says "follow me". A bit of a turnoff. We sat down looked at the menu. Judy decides to have the vegetable pekora and the chicken Biryani. I order the vegetable appetizer and asked the waiter for his suggestion for a chicken dish with no cream. He makes a suggestion and then asked "on a scale of 1-5 what temp do you like?" I say 3. Judy's appetizer comes out. It looks great and she likes it. My veggies come out all breaded. I apologize to the waiter and say that I don't eat fried foods. He takes at away. the main course arrives, and things are looking really good. One taste says that they know what they're doing. Then the waiter ( from Nepal) tells me that the next time we come in, he will make sure I get the right veggies that are grilled. I said "Thanks, how about now?" Within 10 minutes I have crunchy veggies done right. The waiter really put a great touch on this venue. We WILL come back. btw, it's the next morning and I still think I taste the great sauce.
